Granite State of Mind, #66: Polly's Pancake Parlor, Sugar Hill

Sweet

Headed north in New Hampshire? To the north country, Vermont, or perhaps Montreal? Take the brief detour off I-93 just south of Littleton and the 302 interchange and visit Polly's. You will experience the best pancakes anywhere, slathered in signature New Hampshire maple syrup. I could go on about the maple sugaring industry and its long history in the state (of which Polly's has been a part since 1938), but mainly they make fantastic pancakes. Huge, tasty, legendary - the buckwheat are my favorite. No trip north in New Hampshire is complete without the pilgrimage to Polly's.
